What a remap does for a petrol Skoda Fabia

Petrol engines are remapped by refining fuelling, ignition timing and, on turbocharged engines, boost control. Done carefully this releases performance the manufacturer left in reserve, giving sharper throttle response and a stronger top end.

Skoda Fabia 1.2 60 against other Fabia engines

Among the 10 petrol Fabia engines we have figures for, the 1.2 60 ranks 8th for power gain, 2 bhp below the Fabia petrol average of 13 bhp.

Across our whole catalogue the average petrol remap adds 27 bhp and 51 Nm, so this engine's 11 bhp and 27 Nm sits below that benchmark.
